Skopje, 4 December 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Thursday the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Emil Jacotă, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Listiana Operananta, who is based in Sofia, and newly appointed Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, also based in Sofia. 

According to the President's Office, Siljanovska Davkova and Jacotă said the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations testifies to a long period of mutual friendship, which should be enriched in the future with broader cooperation in several areas, primarily in the economy, which requires an appropriate legal framework. The two agreed that the future of the two countries, which share the same democratic values, is in the European family, where they belong geographically, culturally and historically. 

At the handover ceremony with Ambassador Operananta, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral relations, established on May 25, 1993, highlighting the importance of deepening cooperation on the political level, in international organizations, as well as in the economy.

The President highlighted the importance of the dialogue between the Macedonian and Indonesian parliamentary groups for the development of democracy in the two countries.

In addition, President Siljanovska Davkova and Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet expressed readiness for closer cooperation in the spirit of good Macedonian-Vietnamese relations, mutual understanding and mutual respect.

Participants in the handover ceremony, reads the press release, identified significant opportunities and untapped potential for promoting cooperation on the political and economic front, in education, science, agriculture, healthcare, tourism, culture, as well as in international organizations and institutions.
