Skopje, 31 December 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi extended a New Year’s greeting to the citizens on his Facebook profile on Tuesday, stating that 2024 was a year of challenges and meaningful change, while the upcoming 2025 is an opportunity to work for a more just and more developed country.

“Ahead of the holidays, I feel this is the perfect moment to reflect on what we’ve been through and to open the path for a new year with new opportunities. The year we leave behind had challenges but also meaningful changes. Our Parliament, following the political rotation this year, received a new composition and dynamic. We demonstrate serious efforts to increase transparency and parliamentary diplomacy,” Gashi said.

The coming year, according to the Speaker, is an opportunity to work for a more just and more developed country in which everyone would live prosperous and dignified lives.

“The commitment of all is key for the realization of our joint aspirations. That’s why, putting aside any differences, we should work together to make this ideal country with our shared values a reality. Allow me, personally and in the name of Parliament and the MPs to wish you a happy new year filled with health, peace and happiness for you and your families,” Speaker Gashi said in the greeting.
