The bus was part of a group of four buses owned by the Skopje-based transporter “Besa Trans”, which were returning from an organized trip in Istanbul.
“Besa Trans” owner Bekim Haxhiu was sentenced to 1,8 years in prison for falsifying documents that were used by bus drivers when exiting the country. His company was ordered to pay a fine of 800,000 denars and was banned from being issued passenger transportation licenses.
