Skopje, 12 November 2024 (MIA) – Overall bilateral relations, Macedonian EU integration as well as the need for a common regional approach in tackling global challenges were discussed by President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova in a meeting with her Slovak counterpart Peter Pellegrini on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku.
In the meeting, Slovak President Pellegrini said the Macedonian EU integration bid is being held hostage by bilateral disputes casting a dark shadow over the EU’s enlargement process, stressing Slovakia is a strong supporter of EU enlargement and Bratislava had criticized the blockade of the Macedonian EU integration in many Council of the EU meetings, Siljanovska Davkova’s office said.
