Skopje, 4 July 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi held a farewell meeting Thursday with outgoing Dutch Ambassador Dirk Jan Kop and thanked him for his country's contribution, especially in the implementation of reforms regarding the rule of law and all other spheres of social life and democratic processes.

"Ambassador Jan Kop congratulated Gashi on his post and wished him success, and continued progress on the country’s path to EU integration," the Parliament said in a press release.

Interlocutors discussed opportunities for continuing reforms over the rule of law by creating a legal infrastructure in Parliament, as a basis for strengthening capacities and trust in the judiciary. ssh/sk/
