Skopje, 27 March 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Friday with United States Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires Nicole Varnes, discussing activities as part of the Strategic Dialogue between the two countries, as well as the preparations for the second strategic dialogue set to be held in April.

“At the meeting we affirmed the high degree of development of the bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the two countries. In that context, we discussed the continuation of activities within the Strategic Dialogue, as well as preparations for the second strategic dialogue set to be held next month in Washington. We reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to further enhancement of bilateral cooperation,” Mucunski wrote on his official Facebook page.

According to the Foreign Minister, a special emphasis was placed on economic cooperation, with the potential to encourage new investments, as well as reform processes related to the rule of law and democracy.

“We also discussed our country’s role as a factor of stability in the region, as well as current global issues, including the events in the Middle East,” Mucunski wrote on Facebook.
