Mickoski presents Boshkov Most, Chebren and Galishte projects to investors in Davos

Skopje, 22 January 2026 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, posted on Facebook Thursday evening that he held a bilateral meeting today with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Council of Ministers Chairwoman Borjana Krišto, followed by numerous meetings with multinational companies.

In a video statement, Mickoski said he joined a panel discussion on energy projects and, for the first time, presented Boshkov Most and Chebren and Galishte hydropower plants.

“We started the day with a bilateral meeting with Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then continued with numerous bilateral meetings with multinational companies that are truly significant in the global business sector. We also held a successful panel, where I spoke about projects that are important to us, including electricity generation and the improvement of transmission capacities of the interconnectors that transmit electricity and gas. At today’s panel, I presented for the first time our key upcoming projects, Boshkov Most and Chebren and Galishte. I am certain they drew considerable interest from numerous investors. Following the panel, they approached me and we exchanged contacts. I invited them to visit North Macedonia to showcase our potentials and investment opportunities. I am confident that these projects will succeed, contributing both to the domestic economy and to improving the quality of life for Macedonian citizens,” PM Mickoski stressed.

At the panel, the discussion focused on topics that Mickoski described as key in Davos: artificial intelligence, data centers, and electricity.

“We had further discussions with key figures in artificial intelligence, leading companies in data center operations, and addressed the challenges, including the scale at which electricity production needs to grow worldwide in the coming years. I also reiterated the projects that are significant for us, covering electricity generation and enhancements to the transmission capacities of electricity and gas interconnectors, as well as other challenges confronting us as a government,” Mickoski stated.

Prime Minister Mickoski will join another panel to present Macedonia’s investment opportunities to a different group of investors.

“I am confident this panel will be successful too. Follow our Davos updates, we’ll see you in Skopje tomorrow,” he said.
