Skopje, 8 July 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi is set to participate in the NATO Parliamentary Summit, held on Tuesday within the frameworks of the Alliance’s Summit. The Speaker is expected to address the event on Tuesday.

The Parliamentary Summit is organized by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Parliament speakers and heads of delegations to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly from all member states are expected to attend the event.

According to a press release from Parliament, MP Mile Taleski, as acting head of Parliament’s Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, will also participate in the Summit.

As part of his visit to Washington, Gashi is expected to hold several bilateral meetings with foreign statesmen and high US representatives.

The US House of Representatives’ Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is hosting the Parliamentary Assembly, which will bring together the heads of parliaments of 32 member states and Ukraine. Twenty-three parliamentary speakers are expected to attend the event.

The high-level meeting aims to demonstrate the importance of the Alliance’s parliamentary dimension and emphasize the positions of allied parliaments on key priorities, the press release said.
