Skopje, 4 October 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski met with Macedonians living in Albania in the Tirana-based Embassy on Friday.

Minister Toshkovski wrote in a Facebook post that he had the opportunity to acquaint with their way of life and the challenges they face.

"They briefed me with the activities they undertake towards preservation of the Macedonian culture and identity. I strongly believe that Macedonian communities abroad represent an important part of our national identity. Their love for the homeland is clear. These people have been forgotten and that is why it is exceptionally important to maintain close communication with them. I am always prepared to support them as much as I can, and my door will always be open for communication and joint activities, towards strengthening the ties with our diaspora," writes Toshkovski.
