Skopje, 30 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski took part at the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS Ministerial in Washington on Monday, on the invitation of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

In his remarks, FM Mucunski referred to the country's role in the fight against ISIS and global terrorism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

"To fully defeat ISIS, which is the sole objective of this Coalition, there is a need for concerted and comprehensive effort. As a country, we are fully committed to the fight against ISIS and actively participate in the Coalition's activities," said Mucunski.

Meeting participants discussed the possible options and the transition of the Coalition's military operations, the continued threats and challenges, while reaffirming the importance of enhanced civilian efforts and the repatriation issue, reads the press release.
