Skopje, 24 February 2026 (MIA) - The Skopje International Airport, operated by TAV Macedonia, has once again received the prestigious Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for 2025 in the category “Easiest Airport Journey in Europe” from Airports Council International (ACI). 

According to TAV Macedonia, Skopje Airport receives the ASQ Award for the 11th time, which is yet another recognition from departing passengers who have completed satisfaction surveys assessing the quality of airport services. The ASQ survey measures key performance indicators such as the efficiency of passenger and baggage check-in, security screening, ease of wayfinding, and overall convenience of moving through the airport.

"Being recognized for the 11th time demonstrates the consistency of our operational excellence and our sustained commitment to quality airport services. In 2025, we also reached a historic milestone by serving a record over 3 million passengers — making this accomplishment even more remarkable. This award, based entirely on passenger feedback through the Airport Service Quality program, validates our strategic focus on efficiency, reliability, and customer experience," said TAV Macedonia General Manager Nejat Kurt.

According to ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci, receiving an ASQ Customer Experience Award from ACI demonstrates Skopje International Airport ongoing commitment to listen to its travelers. "This recognition reflects your dedication to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional journeys for all passengers," Erbacci said.  

Skopje Airport belongs to an ASQ panel of 20 airports, in the category of Europe-based airports sized for 2-5 million passengers per year. Beside Skopje International Airport, the other airports within this panel are airports based in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Norway, and Estonia, as well as two other airports operated by TAV Airports – Zagreb Airport and Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia. 

So far, for 2012, 2015, 2013 and 2018 Skopje International Airport received the ASQ award - Best Airport in Europe in the size up to 2 million passengers, while for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 the airport received the ASQ award but in the size 2 to 5 million passengers per year, based on the increase in the number of passengers that automatically allowed Skopje Airport to compete with that group of airports in Europe region.
