Xhaferi: UAE cooperation path opens
Dubai, 17 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia-United Arab Emirates (UAE) relations are excellent and we have potential for intensification of cooperation from political, economic, social, cultural and other aspects. Establishment of parliamentary cooperation is easy and it can open the path for other institutions, said Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi on Wednesday. Speaker Xhaferi is visiting the UAE on the 25th anniversary of bilateral ties. “My visit is the first at the level of parliaments, opening the path for other institutions to exchange respective visits,” said Xhaferi. The Speaker paid a visit to the North Macedonia Pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020, which opened on 1 October and has thus far been visited by about 50,000 people. “I believe that our traits are properly presented. This is a good opportunity for promotion, since over 190 countries take part at Dubai Expo,” noted Xhaferi. North Macedonia will be in the focus of the global public on 22 February 2022, when EXPO 2020 Dubai is set to host a cultural event and a business forum to promote the country’s investment benefits. During the visit, Xhaferi met with Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash. The Speaker is accompanied by MPs Husni Ismaili, Darko Kaevski and Bedri Fazli.
