Gov’t forms joint working groups tasked with enhancing cooperation with Bulgaria
Skopje, 20 January 2022 (MIA) – The government at its fourth session on Thursday appointed co-chairs and members of the joint intergovernmental working groups tasked with strengthening bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and Bulgaria as a result of the meetings held during the official visit of the Bulgarian government delegation to Skopje on Tuesday.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi was appointed co-chair of the joint intergovernmental working group for economy, trade and innovation with Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi and Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi as its members, said the government.
Transport Minister Blagoj Bochvarski, Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski and Minister of Information Society and Administration Admirim Aliti were appointed as co-chairs of the joint intergovernmental working group for infrastructure, transport and connectivity.
The joint intergovernmental working group for European integration and green policies will be co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, Deputy Prime Minister for Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska and Environment Minister Naser Nuredini.
Also, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Political System Artan Grubi, Culture Minister Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojcheva and Education Minister Jeton Shaqiri were named co-chairs of the joint intergovernmental working group for culture, science and education, said the press release.
