Skopje, 22 January 2024 (MIA) – Public transport in Skopje has been normalized as of 5:45pm, public transport enterprise (JSP Skopje) union leader Mikjo Stojanovski told MIA on Monday.
Stojanovski said both JSP and privately-owned buses have resumed normal operations.
Skopje was left without public transport from 9am on Monday, with drivers demanding the payment of their December wages. They ended their protest after the Skopje City Council endorsed a decision allocating subsidies to the public transportation enterprise in the amount of EUR 11 million for 2024.
