China expands visa-free entry to North Macedonia, other countries

Beijing, 22 November 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China announced Friday it would expand its visa-free policy to nine additional countries, including North Macedonia, as of November 30, 2024.
Visa-free arrangements will also apply to regular passport holders from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, Estonia, Latvia and Japan from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, said Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian.
Additionally, China will extend the visa-free stay period from 15 to 30 days, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
As of November 30, 2024, regular passport holders from 38 countries will be able to enter the People’s Republic of China for business, tourism, visits to family and friends and exchange visits for up to 30 days without a visa.
