Skopje, 9 July 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski held several bilateral meetings with high US representatives in Washington, the Government said in a press release Tuesday.

On Monday, Mickoski, alongside a government delegation and Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met with congressmen Pete Sessions, Robert Aderholt, Joe Wilson, John Moolenaar, as well as James Jones, former National Security Advisor to Barack Obama.

At the meeting, both sides emphasized the good bilateral relations with the United States of America.

“The possibility of making use of the economic potential, and political support over the realization of the country’s strategic interests were discussed. We are entering a new investment cycle of serious capital projects in infrastructure, energy and many other fields,” Mickoski said.

At the meeting, it was noted that the fight against organized crime and corruption is one of the Government's main goals. The congressmen voiced firm support for the country, as a friend and ally to the US
