Shtip, 16 March 2026 (MIA) – Shtip residents paid tribute Monday to Filip Ivanovski, Damjan Tanevski, Aleksandar Efremov, Filip Stevanovski and Aleksandar Kolarov, who were killed in the Pulse nightclub fire in Kochani one year ago. The families of the victims and the Mayor of the Municipality of Shtip, Ivan Jordanov, laid the cornerstone for a memorial near the town square. 

The memorial features five doves facing an angel. In a silence heavy with unspoken words, mourners honored the 63 victims, including the five residents of Shtip, who were killed in the deadly fire at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani.

In quiet mourning and hearts heavy with grief, the families of the victims and their relatives, friends, as well as Shtip residents lit candles and laid flowers in remembrance of the young lives lost. A tribute was made with a symbolic star-studded sky, followed by a release of white balloons to honor the victims.
