Vardan Tozija’s ‘M’ to be screened at 2023 Cannes Film Festival
- Vardan Tozija’s feature film “M”, produced by Focus Pocus Films and a co-production between North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo and France, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, said the North Macedonia Film Agency in a press release Thursday, adding that it will be present at the Festival this year as well, with several films and promotional activities.

Skopje, 18 May 2023 (MIA) – Vardan Tozija’s feature film “M”, produced by Focus Pocus Films and a co-production between North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo and France, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, said the North Macedonia Film Agency in a press release Thursday, adding that it will be present at the Festival this year as well, with several films and promotional activities.
According to the Agency, as part of the FOCUS WiP 2023 – Work in Progress – Cinema de Demain program at the Festival, on Tuesday, May 23, Dorian Jesper’s “Loynes” project will be presented as well. The film is a co-production between “SCUM Pictures” and “WrongMen” from Belgium, “FilmGrand8” from France, “Veda Film” from North Macedonia and “LONO Studio” from England.
Additionally, Goce Trajkovski’s short film “Dossier Future”, co-produced by “Sloboda Film” will be a part of the Short Film Corner catalog, and will be available to accredited professionals as part of a private video library.
Apart from this, the Agency said they will realize a series of activities aimed at promoting Macedonian cinematography at one of the most important film festivals in the world.
“At the Macedonian stand in the South-East European Pavilion, the Macedonian delegation from the Agency will present the latest developments in Macedonian cinematography and will hold meetings for future co-productions. To this end, an extensive cataloged and promotional material has been prepared. Everyone who visits the SEE Pavilion and is interested in potential future cooperation and initiatives, will be able to hold meetings with representatives from the Agency,” said the Film Agency in the press release.
