Thessaloniki Music School Choir to hold concert in Skopje - featuring special surprise for children from Kochani

Skopje, 15 November 2025 (MIA) - The Thessaloniki Music School Choir will hold a concert titled "Wandering Echoes" on Saturday at 6:30 pm in the small concert hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic.

The Thessaloniki Music School Choir will perform a diverse program including a wide range of songs, from traditional to modern music.

In a conversation with MIA's Athens correspondent, music education advisor in eastern Thessaloniki, Antonis Konstantinidis, revealed that children from Kochani will also attend the concert.

"Ten children from Kochani will also be invited to meet the children from the choir. They will be our guests, and we are preparing a special surprise for them. They will attend the concert, as well as a social gathering and a joint lunch. This will be in honour and memory of all those who lost their lives, whether in Kochani or in any other place where such a tragedy occurred," Konstantinidis told MIA.

The Thessaloniki Music School Choir is one of the best youth choirs, with a series of achievements, as well as numerous upcoming concerts and performances scheduled.

"The choir has a long-standing tradition and is recognized for its achievements. In the past, it has held numerous concerts in large concert halls. In this way, we are trying to build a bridge of cooperation with the neighbouring country based on culture and humanism," Konstantinidis said.

The concert in Skopje is at the invitation of the Greek Embassy and in collaboration with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra as part of the Balkan cooperation program and the general program of the orchestra.
