Skopje, 1 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Monday with Spanish Ambassador José Luis Lozano García, discussing 30-year-long bilateral ties while emphasizing the commitment to further strengthen the friendship and partnership between the two countries.

Siljanovska Davkova said Spain is an important partner within NATO, UN, and OSCE, and a supporter over the country's EU aspirations, which was clearly demonstrated during its presidency of the Council of EU in the second half of 2023, the President's Office said in a press release.

Interlocutors discussed the course of the reform agenda after the formation of the new government and exchanged views on current developments in the wider region.

The President also highlighted Macedonia's interest to further intensify mutual economic cooperation and trade exchange, reads the press release. ssh/ik/
