Skopje, 1 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Monday with Romanian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Adela Monica Axinte.

Interlocutors discussed the overall bilateral relations, which are based on friendship and mutual support, and the mutual cooperation characterized by a constructive and open political dialogue, the President's Office said in a press release.

"In the direction of strengthening cooperation in various spheres of mutual interest, President Siljanovska Davkova said that we remain committed to encouraging a dynamic bilateral cooperation through political dialogue, inter-sectoral partnerships, cooperation within NATO, and joint efforts in regional initiatives," the press release reads.

In the context of European perspectives, she expressed her sincere gratitude for Romania's continued support on our path to EU and its reaffirmed readiness for providing concrete assistance in the future. ssh/sk/
