Skopje, 10 January 2022 (MIA) – Former SDSM MP Slavica Grkovska has been nominated as Deputy PM for the fight against corruption and crime, sustainable development and human resources, incumbent Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi is the nominee for the same post, while outgoing Justice Minister Bojan Marichikj for the post Deputy PM for European Affairs, SDSM leader and PM-designate Dimitar Kovachevski told a press conference after sessions of the party’s executive and central boards late on Monday. SDSM MP Slavjanka Petrovska is the party’s nominee for Defense Minister, current Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski for the same post, Faculty of Law professor Nikola Tupanchevski for Justice Minister, while outgoing Deputy PM for the fight against corruption and crime Ljupcho Nikolovski for Minister of Agriculture, a post he already held in period 2017-2019. State Labor Inspectorate director Jovana Trenchovska is SDSM’s nominee for Minister of Labor and Social Policy, lawmaker Bisera Kostadinovska-Stochevska for Minister of Culture, while incumbent Blagoj Bochvarski for Minister of Transport and Communications. Kovachevski expects all nominees to demonstrate commitment in their work, in the people’s interest and realization of promises. The PM-designate will submit the Government cabinet and programme to the Parliament on Tuesday. “The new government will be highly productive, committed to the economic challenges and enhancement of the people’s living standard. We are setting high goals but I am certain they can be realized through hard work,” said Kovachevski.
