Skopje, 20 September 2023 (MIA) — Macedonian pianist Arda Mustafaoğlu and German pianist Levi Schechtmann will give a classical crossover concert at the Philharmonic Chamber Hall. They will present their "88 Dimensions" project merging classical pieces with electronic beats.

"This project is a kind of symbiosis between the traditional and the contemporary, aimed at gathering older and younger audiences to enjoy together the beauty of classical works," organizers say.

The concert was organized to celebrate 30 years of German-Macedonian diplomatic relations.

Levi Schechtmann (b. 1999, Hamburg) is a student at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. The award-winning young pianist and composer started to write his own music and hip-hop arrangements of classical pieces at age 16. With an audience of over 100.000 people on Instagram in 2022, Schechtmann is one of the most popular crossover artists online.

Arda Mustafaoğlu (b. 2002, Skopje) is a student at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. Playing the piano since the age of six, he has won many international piano competitions and performed at various venues worldwide. Mustafaoğlu has also received the 13th November Award for an outstanding contribution to the promotion of the City of Skopje in the world. mr/
