Minister Shekerinska awarded by defence attaches for leadership and vision
Skopje, 10 January 2022 (MIA) – The Association of Defence Attaches, accredited in North Macedonia, on Monday awarded Defence Minister Radmila Shekerinska for her leadership in the country’s NATO accession process and for her vision to modernize the army according to NATO standards.
Thanking for the recognition, Shekerinska said the past 4,5 years were tough, but it paid off because the final result is visible.
“There is no greater satisfaction than to contribute to the nation, the country and the citizens. I had the chance to contribute to something greater than myself,” the Minister said noting that the citizens want to be part of the EU and NATO.
The NATO membership, Shekerinska noted, proves that dedication and hard work produce results.
Before she was handed over the recognition, Shekerinska held the annual briefing with the defence attaches accredited in North Macedonia to present 2021 achievements in defence.
“Last year although hard, it proved immensely successful for defence… First and foremost we invested in being allies, unity and joint values,” she stressed.
