Skopje, 23 September 2024 (MIA) — The Macedonian Philharmonic will give a concert featuring Croatian violinist Jana Kariman as soloist in Dubrovnik on Thursday.

Kariman is concertmaster of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by Borjan Canev and will take place at Dubrovnik's Rector's Palace.

The concert program includes Macedonian composer Ljubomir Brangjolica's "Mediterranean Suite" from his ballet "The Dubrovnik Legend." The Philharmonic will also perform W. A. Mozart's "The Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major" and Franz Schubert's "Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major."

The concert is part of the Philharmonic's annual program. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. mr/
