FM Osmani meets OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation
Skopje, 15 November 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met Tuesday with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Margareta Cederfelt and Secretary General Roberto Montella. Talks focused on support to North Macedonia’s 2023 OSCE Chairpersonship, the possibilities for cooperation with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and OSCE Chairmanship as well as the main priorities of the future Macedonian Chairpersonship, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. Minister Osmani underscored that parliamentary diplomacy is of great importance, especially in times of open aggression against a participating country, geopolitical tensions and uncertainty. “North Macedonia attaches great significance to the parliamentary dimension of the OSCE. The involvement of parliamentarians in dealing with today's security risks and challenges, as well as in promoting the principles and commitments of the OSCE, adds important value to regular diplomatic communication, in finding lasting solutions,” Osmani said. Interlocutors agreed that the role of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is crucial in strengthening the dialogue and creating a political discussion aimed at promoting stability, cooperation and socio-economic development in the OSCE region.
