Exhibit of works by international artists opens at MoCA
Skopje, 18 December 2021 (MIA) – An international exhibition entitled “All that we have in common” opens Saturday at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) in Skopje. The exhibit displays works by eleven world-renowned artists, including Francis Alÿs (Belgium), Marwa Arsanios (US), Kristina Bozurska (N. Macedonia), Sharon Hayes (US), Arthur Jafa (US), Hiwa K (Iraq), OPA (Obsessive Possessive Aggression), Jonas Staal (The Netherlands), Igor Toshevski (N. Macedonia), Wu Tsang (US), and Dardan Zhegrova (Kosovo). It is curated by Mira Gakjina and Jovanka Popova. “The main goal is to offer artistic interpretation and deeper analysis of radical leftist policies and practices that address the concept of cognition of diversity and solidarity at the local and global level, researched and presented through artistic action,” MoCA says. The exhibit features 13 works created in different media, installations and videos. It runs through March 31, 2022 and is supported by the Culture Ministry, EVN Makedonija company and Tikves vinery.
