Donald Trump awarded 2025 Cvetin Peace Prize

Skopje, 31 December 2025 (MIA) — On the last day of 2025, US President Donald Trump has been awarded the Cvetin Peace Prize for his continuing efforts to bring peace to Ukraine, the Middle East and the world, the Cvetin Peace Prize award committee said in a press release Wednesday.


On behalf of the entire Cvetin Peace Prize award committee at the awards ceremony held earlier Wednesday, the prize's founder Zhivko Popovski Cvetin welcomed President Trump's efforts to be the peacemaker of the world. 


"US President Donald Trump did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize, but he has now received the Cvetin Peace Prize. We send him our support for his continuing efforts to bring peace to the warring parties in Ukraine and to bring peace to the world," Popovski Cvetin said. 


Committee members also signed the Declaration for Peace in the World, against wars and the use of nuclear weapons, at the special Macedonia Square ceremony.


The ceremony to honor President Trump was held at 11:55 am Wednesday. It was attended by the following committee members:


– Ksenija Makazlieva Trajcheva, editor of the Macedonian publishing house Prosvetno Delo, specializing in school textbooks and children's books, sending a heartfelt message for peace to President Trump on behalf of all the world's children; 


– Vele Kolchakovski, Macedonia's former consul in Sofia and international chess master Dimitar Ilievski, sending a heartfelt message praising President Trump's wise chess moves that are essential for achieving peace in the world; 


– Goran Anchevski, writer; Mendo Dimovski, colonel and poet; Valentina Pargo, journalist; and Todor Stojchevski, strategic communications expert; all of whom strongly supported awarding the Cvetin Peace Prize to President Trump.


Zhivko Popovski Cvetin (b. 1944, Brezovo) is a former president of the Macedonian Red Cross and an artist nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He is much loved nationwide for his mission of painting "Flowers of Peace." To date, he has held over 300 exhibitions and donated over 70,000 paintings, which are found at the residences of the world's leading statesmen, artists, poets and ordinary folks worldwide. mr/
