Skopje, 5 April 2024 (MIA) — As part of its 'Visegrád Group Film Evenings' dedicated to the cinematography of the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, the Cinematheque will screen four films on April 5–13.

The Czech comedy "Empties" (2007) directed by Jan Svěrák will be shown on April 5. It's a comic love story about a man who refuses to accept that old age is empty of love, meaning and value to society.

The Polish romance "Cold War" (2018) directed by Pawel Pawlikowski will be shown on April 6. The film tells the passionate love story between two mismatched people of different backgrounds and temperaments, set against the background of the Cold War in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris in the 1950s.

The Slovak action comedy "Invalid" (2023) by Jonáš Karásek will be screened on April 12. The film is about a grumpy handyman who loses everything to mobsters and becomes wheelchair-bound, but his new friend helps him see things differently and get revenge.

The Hungarian comedy drama "Moscow Square" (2001) directed by Ferenc Török will be screened on April 13. It is set in 1989, an important year in Hungary's political history, but this is unimportant to a group of high schoolers who only care about parties, girls, making easy cash and passing an upcoming exam with leaked questions.
