Skopje, 19 February 2024 (MIA) - The Cinematheque of North Macedonia said the Mobireel.eu web platform is now active and available for all citizens. The platform is part of the Erasmus+ project Mobile low-cost digitizing of vintage films (Mobireel), which aims to address challenges in digitizing film collections with a focus on so-called home film and video formats (8mm, Super 8, VHS, SVHS etc.).

The platform is available in five languages - Macedonian, English, German, Dutch and Bulgarian. This is the result of the Cinematheque's cooperation with Bulgaria (SCAS and P.R. Slaveykov Regional Library), Germany (Zeutschel) and The Netherlands (ERfgoedcentrum De Domijnen) as part of the project.

The Cinematheque notes that citizens interested in the training can register on the platform and complete the training. A European accredited certificate is obtained upon successful completion of the training.
