Skopje, 15 November 2023 (MIA) — This year's Struga Poetry Evenings' Golden Wreath winner Vlada Uroshevikj will give a poetry reading at the state university's Blazhe Koneski Faculty of Philology.

Beginning at 6 pm, Uroshevikj will read his poems in Macedonian and undergraduates will read his poems in several foreign languages, organizers said.

Vlada Uroshevikj (b. 1934, Skopje) is a prominent Macedonian writer. He has written numerous books of poetry, short stories, novels, essays, travelogues, literary and art criticism, as well as literary theory and translations.

In addition to this year's Struga Poetry Evenings main prize, in 2023 he received the winner of the 24th Novel of the Year award for his “The True Yet Not Very Plausible History of the Pustopolski Family About the House by the Vardar and About the Four Rings” (Ars Libris, 2022). mr/
