Bitola film festival to close with awards ceremony
Bitola, 26 August 2022 (MIA) - The Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers' Film Festival closes Friday night with Gold, Silver and Bronze Camera 300 handed out to the best cinematographers who participated in the 43rd edition of the festival.
Fourteen movies were in the main program, most of them having arrived from Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Karlovy Vary.
"International film festivals aim to develop film art, help the film industry and celebrate film worldwide. That's why they're necessary and extraordinary works with a strong author's signature, as well as being solid works made by film professionals, aimed for a wider audience," said Slagjan Penev, selector of the main festival program.
Manaki Brothers Festival is held under the auspices of the President, backed by the Ministry of Culture and the City of Bitola. dk/ba/
