Belgrade-Ljubljana theater coproduction 'Future' at Skopje's Drama Theater

Skopje, 20 October 2024 (MIA) -- Slovenian theater director Ziga Divjak's play "Future," coproduced by Belgrade Drama theater and Ljubljana City Theater, will be staged at the Skopje Drama Theater as part of RUTA International Theater Festival.
According to organizers, "Future" is a play set in a "network of mutual influences."
Divjak is considered one of the most influential young Slovenian directors, focusing on socially engaged plays that deal with important contemporary issues, organizers said.
Notable is the theater director's series of events and performances "Right Before the Revolution" (2013–2015) which he launched as a student and which brought him the Academy Prešeren Award and with which he toured Germany and Croatia. He has remained loyal to his socially engaged position in his work, which has so far led him to direct at the Mladinsko, Maska Institute, Prešeren Theatre Kranj, Cankarjev dom, SNT Drama Ljubljana and Ljubljana City Theatre.
The cast of "Future" consists of Bernarda Orman, Gregor Gruden, Lara Wolf, Iztok Drabik Jug, Gregor Zorc, Lotos Sparovec, Milena Vasic, Jana Bjelica, Marija Pikic, Milan Zaric, Stefan Starcevic and Milan Kolak. mr/
