Ohrid, 16 August 2024 (MIA) — Fiona Sampson, Patrick Cotter, Ivan Herceg, Marko Djordjevic, Ming Di, Elizabeta Bakovska, Vladimir Martinovski and Hristina Cvetanoska will read their poems at two international poetry readings to be held as part of this year's Poetry Night in Velestovo festival, which begins Friday.

In its 36th year, the poetry festival is held in the Ohrid village of Velestovo and in Ohrid. One of the international poetry readings, titled Mosaic, will be held in Ohrid, and the other, titled Poetic Intermezzo, will be held in Velestovo.

The festival will open with a short music concert titled "Lake," performed by Croatian singer-songwriter duo Nina Romić and Jelena Galić. 

A conversation with Macedonian poet Elizabeta Bakovska will follow. The festival will also present a photo exhibition by Sasho Dimoski. mr/
