30th independence anniversary to be marked with street art
Skopje, 21 July 2021 (MIA) – The Skopje-based film production company “Dream Factory”, in cooperation with Prilep’s Center for Contemporary Art, is kicking off a multimedia art event to reintroduce to new audiences the works of poet and linguist Blazhe Koneski and novelist Stale Popov.
The project is supported by the North Macedonia government after issuing a call for financial assistance to event industry companies to organize events on the occasion of the country’s 30th independence anniversary.
The project includes two murals, which will be painted by the artists Sanja Jezdikj, Ferdi Bulut and Aleksandar Dzingo, at two unique locations, as well as short documentaries about Koneski and Popov.
It is a unique way to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, according to Dream Factory productions.
“Reintroduction as a process provides sustainability and continuity of the cultural heritage as a whole when media and techniques for modern representation of figures, works and events are used. One of the ways to reintroduce our prominent figures from various fields is street art,” said the organizer.
