Wizz Air to launch flights from Skopje to Bologna, Turin, Friedrichshafen, Billund
Skopje, 27 August 2021 (MIA) – Low-cost airline Wizz Air announced on Friday that it’s set to launch four new routes from North Macedonia - from Skopje to Turin and Bologna in Italy, as well as Skopje-Billund, Denmark and Ohrid-Friedrichshafen, Germany. The first flights to the new destinations will take off in December 2021. “The new routes will add to the additional services already used by the Skopje and Ohrid airports, and confirm the airline’s efforts to offer flights to various destinations to Macedonian passengers. The new routes to Bologna, Turin, Friedrichshafen and Billund will start operating thanks to the allocation of the 5th airplane to the Wizz Air base in Skopje,” Wizz Air said in a press release. The new destinations are well known for their culture, nature and hospitality. Bologna is one of the most popular cities in Italy, known for its towers, churches and long gates. The city has a large student population which gives it a cosmopolitan quality. Turin, on the other hand, is known for its refined cuisine and architecture. Billund is home to the second largest Danish airport, and it’s also the party center of Europe, providing various attractions for all family members, especially the youngest ones, thanks to the famous Legoland. Friedrichshafen is situated directly on the coast of Constance Lake, and it’s well known for its nature, and the fact that it offers action and fun in, around and near water, read the release. Wizz Air advises passengers to check travel restrictions before embarking on any travels. The Travel Plan Map helps passengers check travel restrictions across the WIZZ network. The website shows a color-coded map of destinations, with links to government websites, travel websites and forms one should fill out before taking off. The tickets to the new routes are sold on wizzair.com, or the mobile app, priced from EUR 19.99/MKD 1,229. dk/mm
