Skopje, 16 January 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Tuesday that unexpired IDs will remain valid beyond the document replacement deadline February 12, 2024.  

The Ministry of Interior, which is the competent authority responsible for the issuing of personal documents, notes that the Law on Identity Cards has not been amended. 

"Therefore, we'd like to inform the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia that unexpired identity cards that read "REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA" will remain valid beyond February 12, 2024," the MoI said in a press release.
