Washington, 7 July 2022 (MIA) – The United States respects the right of Macedonian citizens for peaceful expression of opinions and views while urging for restraint from any violence at the protests in Skopje, the State Department told MIA. The State Department says North Macedonia’s EU accession is a significant factor in strengthening security in Europe and collective security in general. It adds that North Macedonia has done its job and now is the time to move forward to the next stage of the accession process, calling on “our friends to seize the opportunity and start the accession process.”
