Skopje, 23 February 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska met Wednesday with Andi Aranitasi, Head of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Office in North Macedonia, discussing prior and future cooperation on projects in the ministry’s jurisdiction. Trenchevska and Aranitasi highlighted the significance of increased inclusion of vulnerable groups in all walks of life, with a focus on women and marginalized communities, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said in a press release. “Inclusion of gender across the society and empowerment of women contributes to the development of the gender perspective, which brings progress of society in general. When speaking about women’s participation and their role in creation of policies on climate change and environment, we are primarily speaking about women’s human rights,” said Trenchevska. She referred to the importance of the woman’s role in healthcare, building sustainable development of communities, but also in the preventive and practical activities, such as water and energy savings, reducing and selecting waste etc, reads the press release.
