Skopje, 12 February 2024 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski has told MIA he will schedule an urgent session on Monday afternoon for adoption of the amendments to the Law on Traffic Safety and other laws related to the validity of the driving licenses with the 'Republic of Macedonia' name.

Earlier today, Speaker Mitreski met with party whips, the caretaker PM and government ministers.

"I met with party whips, the caretaker PM and the Minister of Interior and we are close to a solution. Coordination meetings will continue throughout the day and I will schedule an urgent session in the afternoon. Citizens should remain calm, the problem should be resolved by the end of the day," said Mitreski.
