Skopje, 18 August 2023 (MIA) – Apart from North Macedonia, Sofia too must demonstrate courage in the dispute with Skopje, the former Ambassador of the European Union to North Macedonia, Erwan Fouéré told online media indeks.mk, commenting on the constitutional amendments process and the dispute between the two countries.

“The choice ahead of the Macedonian people is difficult. If Bulgaria wants to be remembered as an EU member state which follows and obeys the basic principles of human rights, and the basic values upon which the EU is founded, then it must accept and implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights regarding the Macedonian minority in Bulgaria following the approval of the constitutional amendments by the Parliament in North Macedonia,” Fouéré told indeks.mk.
