Skopje, 18 October 2021 (MIA) – The procedure of summarizing results is ongoing and they are uploaded at the web-application as the electoral boards calculate them. We have received results from 1,662 polling stations for the mayoral contests, i.e. 47.76 percent, said State Election Commission (SEC) President Aleksandar Dashtevski early Monday. In regard to the councils, SEC has received results from 45.83 percent of polling stations, i.e. 1,595 out of the 3,480 polling stations. SEC has also received 286 complaints over protection of the voting right, 217 of which have been accepted, 19 were rejected, 34 were unfounded, while 16 are currently processed. Voting was extended in 11 polling stations, the last of which closed at 9.55 p.m. “We release results based on reports. These are local elections, which means more ballots, along with the newly introduced fingerprint aspect,” added Dashtevski.
