Skopje, 7 October 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova is paying a working visit to Montenegro on Monday and Tuesday, to attend a regional summit of the leaders of the Brdo-Brioni Process at the invitation of Croatia's President Zoran Milanović, Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar and Montenegro's President Jakov Milatović.
President Milatović is the host of the Brdo-Brioni Process Leaders' Summit, taking place in Tivat, Porto Montenegro.
Discussions in the focus of the summit are a follow-up to the declaration adopted at last year's Brdo-Brioni Process summit, addressing issues related to youth and youth policies, the need for greater regional connectivity, sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as issues of common interest for the Western Balkan countries, President Siljanovska Davkova's Office said in a press release.
Albania's President Bajram Begaj, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović and its members Željka Cvijanović and Željko Komšić, Kosovo's President Vjosa Osmani and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić will also attend the summit.
The Brdo-Brioni Process was launched in 2013 by Slovenia and Croatia with the aim of promoting dialogue and cooperation between heads of state and government on issues of common interest, with the ultimate goal to speed up integration of the Western Balkan countries in the European Union.
