Skopje, 25 December 2021 (MIA) – Skopje police have seized about five kilograms of heroin, estimated at nearly EUR 200,000, the Interior Ministry said Saturday. Drug enforcement unit members arrested a Gostivar man, 37, who was caught carrying five kilograms of heroin in nine packages in his backpack in Skopje. He is expected to be charged according to the Criminal Code. “The Interior Ministry keeps on fighting against illegal drug trafficking as proven by operations to seize drugs and arrest the perpetrators,” said the press release.
