Skopje, 7 October 2022 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski says citizens should remain calm amid these difficult times, since the authorities are working day and night “to cover everything”. PM Kovachevski told TV21 that heating in Skopje will be available as of October 15 and there are ongoing negotiations for gas and an alternative energy resource. “It hasn’t been easy considering the enormously high gas price but quantities for the heating plants have been secured until the end of October. Two solutions are considered for the period after – gas but also an alternative energy resource in case gas is unavailable,” says Kovachevski. He adds that the gas price is not the only problem but also its availability. “We are doing everything to secure energy resources, so that the heating plants operate throughout the winter,” says Kovachevski.
