Skopje, 25 November 2025 (MIA) – In the first week after the call was issued, nearly 40,000 students got their 15,300-denar voucher, Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski has said. Appearing in a Alfa TV political show, the Ministry of Digital Transformation said, Andonovski spoke about the students’ project, led by the Ministry of Digital Transformation in cooperation with other institutions noting that in addition to the students who already got their vouchers, another 55,000 electronic device vouchers are planned for undergraduate students enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Andonovski called it one of the most important projects implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with the government and the Ministry of Education in order to allow every student to own an electronic device.
“This is one of the most important projects aimed at overcoming digital gap. There’s a lot of talk about how much the society is advancing in terms of digitization, yet there is a part that is lagging behind because some people don’t have access to electronic devices. President Mickoski’s idea was implemented by the government, the government’s general secretariat with the uslugi.gov.mk portal, which is managed by the Ministry. The goal is to allow 55,000 undergraduate students to receive electronic device vouchers,” stated Andonovski.
He said it is one of the most popular measures in the sphere of digitization.
“According to data, close to 40,000 applications are successful, 40,000 students received their vouchers and they can use them in stores. It’s a challenging process – in the first day alone there were around 15,000 applications, which exceeds the number of applications sent to the portal annually compared to 2023,” said Andonovski.
Students have until December 20 to apply for vouchers, which can then by used by December 31 at the latest, according to him.
“This measure is considered as successful and the approach is the real one. To offer people to provide for themselves, for their families an electronic device to study or to work all the while allowing businesses to grow because the vouchers can be used across the country in economic operators, which are in fact the 15 most famous providers,” the Minister concluded.
