Skopje, 11 September 2024 (MIA) - North Macedonia's football team secured a 2-0 victory over Armenia Tuesday evening at the Skopje’s national arena in a match from the second round of the UEFA Nations League.

The team played with one man down the whole second half after Gjoko Zajkov saw a red card for protesting against referee’s decision.

The goals that secured victory were scored by captain Enis Bardhi with a free kick in the 70th minute and in the 79th minute, Girona striker Bojan Miovski doubled the advantage.

This win marks North Macedonia’s first victory, putting them at the top of the standings with four points, following a draw against the Faroe Islands.
