Skopje, 9 October 2022 (MIA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) advises Macedonian nationals against all travel to Iran due to mass and violent protests across the country, mainly in Tehran. "If our nationals are currently in Iran, the Ministry urges them to remain in safe locations, to avoid public gatherings and to leave the country unless they have an essential reason," said the MFA. For additional information, the Ministry advised the Macedonian nationals in or outside the country to follow only its official channels, the social media accounts of the Ministry and the North Macedonia embassy in Sofia, the authorized diplomatic office for Iran. "The Foreign Ministry will continue to monitor the situation in Iran and issue information and guidelines for our nationals," it said in a press release adding that Macedonian nationals can write an email on globalsos@mfa.gov.mk or call +389 75 273 732.
