Kovachevski, Zaev and Ahmeti discuss election strategy

Skopje, 18 January 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and former Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev held a meeting in Skopje on Thursday, for talks about defining a strategy in the face of the upcoming elections and options of the European front, MIA learns.
Sources told MIA that the talks have tackled a joint approach to the European option with no deviations, adding that the interlocutors have defined the direction of a concrete strategy for the expected success.
No further details about the discussion were available, but the sources said a constructive approach also means an option to run together in the upcoming elections and find a joint presidential candidate.
All options in terms of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections have also been a point of discussion.
SDSM sources previously told MIA that the meeting took place in a constructive and positive atmosphere.
