Kovachevski: France reaffirms support for North Macedonia’s European integration
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – France’s President Emmanuel Macron, at the first meeting of the European Political Community in Prague, reaffirmed French support for North Macedonia’s European integration process, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski posted on Facebook.   “Today marks the beginning of more intensive cooperation at the level of Europe as a continent, as well as beyond,” said Kovachevski.   At the invitation by the European Council President Charles Michel and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, PM Kovachevski on Thursday is attending the first meeting of the European Political Community in Prague alongside the leaders from 44 countries, including 27 EU member countries, Western Balkan countries, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, as well as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Ukraine. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also in attendance.  Kovachevski is heading a government delegation consisting of Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani and Agriculture Minister Ljupcho Nikolovski.   In a Facebook post earlier on Thursday, Kovachevski said today’s discussions will focus on economy, energy, security, environmental protection, and most importantly, unity in mitigating the effects of the largest global crisis in recent history.   “Only united we can deal with the challenges of energy and food shortages,” Kovachevski’s post reads.
